BUILDING PEACE: NOA URGES COMMUNITY TO EMBRACE PEACE

The campaign train of the office of National Orientation Agency (NOA) has arrived Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state where Fulani herdsmen and farmers have been engaged in violence over grazing and other social vices to advocate peaceful resolutions to their frequent clashes.

People of the area who are predominantly farmers comprises many ethnics group including Yoruba, Hausa and Fulani’s usually engage in violence among each other. The clashes have caught the attention of the National Orientation Agency in Kwara state which has held an interaction session with stakeholders on how to build a peace nation and also guard against violence, hate speeches and kidnapping in the community.

State Director of the agency, Segun Adeyemi called on Nigerians to always live in harmony and shun any acts that could be injurious to others as well as reports any suspicious movement of persons to the appropriate authorities.
