FG EXPRESSES READINESS TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY IN NIGERIA

As the world gradually moves to renewable energy sources and technology, the Federal Government says it will do all within its resources to ensure that the nation develops the capacity to properly harness the potentials of the sector to affect the Nation’s economy positively. Minister of State for Petroleum, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, says all available avenues to achieve this will be explored.

With the theme addressing future challenges of the energy sector: The Renewable Energy Path, the petroleum technology development fund is seeking to take the lead in the building of capacity for Nigerians in the field of renewable energy with this seminar and lecture.

In his address to the gathering delivered on his behalf by a Director in the Ministry of Petroleum Affairs, Haruna Yao – Kurfi, Minister of State in the ministry, says the Federal Government will do all it can within its resources to ensure the building of capacity in renewable energy for Nigerians. He says with the right capacity, it will aid the nation’s economic development positively and also help in the diversification of the nation’s energy source.
