A new project tagged “Corruption Anonymous” has been launched to boost the Whistleblower initiative of the Nigerian Government. A Civil Society Organization, African Centre for Media and Information Literacy unveiled the project in Abuja, the nation’s capital city.
The launch of corruption anonymous according to officials of African Center for Media Information Literacy is part of efforts to encourage Nigerians from all walks of life to own the anti-corruption campaign. Corruption is said to be an ill wind that blows no one any good, hence the need for concerted efforts to bring the menace to its knees and the perpetrators punished.
The group says the recovery of some looted funds from individuals in the country is a testament that effective Whistleblower policy is necessary for combating Corruption and other social vices.
