The Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has called on Nigerian youths to rise up as agents of transformation and condemn corrupt practices among political leaders. Osinbajo said this on Saturday at the 30th Student Christian Movement (SCM) Biennial Conference in Enugu.
He noted that young Nigerians need to be courageous enough to swim against the current of corrupt practice and play their role in making Nigerian society free of corrupt practices. “Young people should rise to the position as leaders and say we will not tolerate the stealing of resources. That is the major problem our country has, it is a major problem. “So, if you challenge corruption as you must, (because that is what you are called to do), if you challenge it, you will be in the minority, you will be swimming against the current.”
He also called on the youths to use social media as the tool to speak publicly against corrupt practices by political leaders.
