SHETTIMA FLAGS OFF CONSTRUCTION OF INDIMI’S N60M VILLAGE FOR BAMA IDPs

Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state on Thursday flagged off the construction of 100 units of 3- room flats worth N60 million donated by Mohammed Indimi Foundation (MIF) for Families of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Bama Local Government Area of the state. The occasion took place at the Multi Purpose Hall, Government House, Maiduguri.

Shettima had after the flag off extolled the qualities of the Chairman of Muhammadu Indimi Foundation who is not only an international Business Mogul, but a sympathetic philanthropist who has committed his resources to the needy. Shettima pointed out the choice of Bama to benefit is because, it is the worst hit in all the crisis, adding that the choice of Ngala by the foundation, was appropriate because, he Indimi cut his business teeth in Ngala. He commended the Chairman if MIF for the gesture, as according to him, government is fully committed to ensure safe return of IDPs back to their liberated communities.

In his welcome address, Chairman of the Foundation, a billionaire, Dr. Mohammed Indimi said the Foundation was established to address the need for quality education, healthcare, food and shelter; provision of relief materials in crisis situations and creation of jobs, especially to the teeming youths. He stated that the lingering Boko Haram activities have left millions of IDPs displaced and in dare need of food and shelter, pointing out that through modest activities and initiatives, the Foundation has contributed in alleviating poverty in communities and unlock Northern Nigeria’s potential.
