Plateau State Lawmakers are calling on the State Executive to begin to put facilities in public places that would accommodate physically challenged persons. They condemn the situation where the vision and hearing impaired individuals are not given cognizance in the state during state functions.

According to the mover of the motion, Hon Joshua Madaki, the physically challenged in the society can no longer be left out in the scheme of things in the twenty first century. He says the 8th Assembly would have failed if they are not assisted to mingle comfortably with the general public.
