Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has left Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records for global label Universal Music Group (UMG).
UMG is home to Island Records, Def Jam and other top labels.
Tiwa Savage is now on her way to international stardom following this heavyweight move which puts her ahead of her peers, some observers are projecting.
The Nigerian artiste, on Thursday, shared a picture of herself and UMG CEO Lucian Grainge but didn’t divulge any information.
Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy, however, confirmed the development while thanking Tiwa for all her achievements in the seven years she was with the Nigerian label.
